The Union Ministry of External Affairs has simplified the process of making passports for employees of government, public sector undertakings, and autonomous bodies.
Government employees will no longer have to obtain a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their departments to make passports.
They will be able to get a passport only by giving information to their department.
Government employees face a lot of difficulty in getting NOC to get passports. For this, they have to fill in Annex B or M as a form.
It sometimes takes more than six months. Apart from this, there are many kinds of problems also. Applications for passports are not accepted without the department's NOC.
In order to eliminate this problem, the Ministry of External Affairs has issued a new form of Annexure N to the Government employees.
In this, the employee only has to give information to the concerned department.
No NOC has to be obtained from anyone. Employees desirous of getting a passport can download it from the department's website www.passportindia.gov.in.

Regional passport officer CP Yadav said that the government employee will have to fill the form Annexure N and inform his department that he is applying for a passport.
One copy of this will have to be attached to the concerned department and another copy along with the passport application.
After receiving the application in the passport office, they will send this form to the concerned department that there is no objection in issuing a passport to the employee.
The passport will be issued to such employees after no objection and police report. He told me that if there is any objection in the form, then the department will have to inform it.
In such a situation, the final decision to issue a passport will be taken by the passport officer. This new decision will bring great relief to thousands of government employees.
Especially employees who work away from headquarters. However, after the issue of passports, he was allowed to travel abroad as before in the Department of Personnel and Training
